Prosecution Tactics to Pressure Manafort

Oct 2, 2017

Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s strategy is to impoverish Paul Manafort and threaten him with enough charges to imprison him the rest of his life if he does not become a prosecution witness. Attorney Sidney Powell said that Andrew Weissmann, one of Mueller’s prosecutors, “will want to maximize the trauma to [Manafort’s] family.” “I would bet the indictment will be right before Thanksgiving.” Weissman has put additional pressure on Manafort by calling Manafort’s former attorney and spokesman to testify before the grand jury. According to Powell, if Manafort does not cooperate, “they’ll indict him for many more counts, which will ratchet up his cost of defense significantly, and he’ll be looking at a lifetime in prison.” People close to Manafort think that the Russia collusion investigation has become cold and that Mueller’s goal is to turn Manafort into a prosecution witness. Nothing incriminating has been found on Manafort’s computers or documents after they were seized in a July raid. Manafort’s unpaid legal bills currently stand at $3 million. A trial would potentially cost millions and make a plea deal more attractive.

Trump Undercuts His Secretary of State

Oct 2, 2017

Secretary of State Tillerson is using back channel communications to speak directly with the North Koreans. Tillerson is seeking to negotiate with the North Koreans to release Americans being held captive in the country. The Secretary said, “We have a couple, three channels open to Pyongyang.” Rather than sending one unified message to North Korea however, President Trump waded into the crisis and undermined the efforts of Tillerson when launched a volley of tweets about American diplomatic efforts with North Korea. “I told Rex Tillerson, our wonderful Secretary of State, that he is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man...” “…Save your energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done!” “Being nice to Rocket Man hasn’t worked in 25 years, why would it work now? Clinton failed, Bush failed, and Obama failed. I won’t fail.” North Korea has been seeking to set up meetings with Republican analysts to try to better understand the confusing rhetoric coming from the president.

Democrats plan to hammer Republicans over Obamacare in the upcoming 2018 mid-term elections

Oct 2, 2017

Even though Republicans failed to repeal Obamacare, Democrats believe Republicans did enough damage to themselves that Republicans will sink in the polls. Tyler Law, spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said, “I think the message is really simple here: As long as Republicans control Congress, your health care is on the chopping block.” Democrats are planning to argue that if voters keep Republicans in power, millions will be at risk of losing their healthcare. “Every one of our targets in the midterms — every single vulnerable Republican — voters know that their health care is less safe if that person is re-elected. And that is an incredibly strong message that we will carry through the midterm elections,” said Tyler Law. One Republican strategist was not too worried saying, “To me, it’s like everyone has ammo in this fight.” Republicans plan to point out that Obamacare is failing and that Democrats want a single payer program that will cost trillions of dollars. 23 Senate Democrats are defending seats and an additional two independent senators who caucus with the Democrats. Only eight Republicans are defending their seats.

Senator Disputes That Trump is Accelerating Conflict with North Korea

Oct 2, 2017

Senator Joni Ernst disputed the idea that President Trump’s “threat to decimate North Korea has impacted Kim’s desire to achieve a nuclear weapon capable of striking the United States.” "I don't see that his words have worsened the situation at all. If anything, it has put North Korea on alert that if they keep moving ahead with their intentions of putting a nuclear warhead onto an ICBM, that if they should use that technology, then we're going to go after them," said Ernst. She pointed out that North Korea had been on a path to obtain nuclear weapons for a long time before President Trump became president. President Trump promised that he would “totally destroy” North Korea if the United States has to defend one or more of its allies from a North Korean attack. In response, Kim Jong Un called the president “mentally deranged.” The United States has sanctioned banks that do business with North Korea. The new round of sanctions comes as the president seeks to isolate North Korea from the international banking system.

Democrats Silent on Whether Menendez Should Resign If Convicted

Oct 2, 2017

Senator Bernie Sanders was not willing to say whether or not New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez should resign if he is convicted of corruption charges. Menendez is charged with 12 counts of corruption and bribery. A recent poll found 84 percent of New Jersey residents wanting Menendez to resign if he’s found guilty. Instead of saying that Menendez should resign, Senator Sanders said, "I think in this country, people are entitled to due process. I'm not into speculating what if that will be Menendez' decision. He has not been convicted. Let the process take its course." "In America, that's what it's about. You have a trial and people — the jury makes its decision. They have not made their decision, so I think it's a little bit premature to be talking about that." Many other Democrats in the Senate who have accepted cash from Menendez have declined to say that Menendez should resign if convicted. Menendez may have done “official favors” for one of is donors “in exchange for private jet flights, vacations, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions.”

Spain’s Government Injures Hundreds In Effort To Suppress Independence Vote

Oct 2, 2017

The Catalonia independence movement attempted to vote for independence on Sunday. An independent Catalonia is anathema to Spain’s central government. It sent in the military to close polling stations and drive away voters from the polls. Police shot rubber bullets at crowds of unarmed voters. At least 800 people were injured in conflicts with government agents. Catalonia is the most prosperous region in Spain. The region is responsible for 19 percent of the country’s GDP and 25 percent of its exports. Many voters in the Catalan region believe the amount they receive back from the government is far less than what they are paying to the central government. Sunday evening, “Catalonia’s regional government declared a landslide win for the ‘yes’ side.” A spokesman for the Catalan government said that 90 percent of voters, voted for independence from Spain. It’s expected that the Spanish government will ignore the results.

EU Plotting

Sep 30, 2017

Germany’s Angela Merkel and France’s Macron plan an “intense” drive to more deeply integrate the European Union after Brexit. Macron called upon the EU to “work more closely on defense and migration and for a eurozone budget.” Macron said that there is “a common realization of a need for a leap forward in Europe.” “Today we’re all convinced Europe must move ahead faster and stronger, for more sovereignty, more unity, and more democracy.” Angela Merkel said that the European Union must “continue to develop.” The call for deeper integration comes during a time of “growing Euroscepticism and nationalism and falling trust in globalized institutions.” Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic have all resisted calls to take migrants. These countries have not seen the spike in crime that has occurred in Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Belgium. The countries are being threatened by EU legal action as well as fines if they don’t comply.

Swiss Move to Restrict Islam

Sep 30, 2017

Switzerland may ban the foreign funding of mosques and require that mosques use local languages instead of Arabic or other foreign languages. The accepted languages would be German, French, Italian, or Romansch. The legislation was passed by the Swiss National Council by a narrow majority. The law will now go to the Swiss Senate. The Swiss federal government opposes the legislation saying that it “discriminates against Muslims by placing them under suspicion and fuels extremism.” Likewise, the federal government opposes the the use of local languages, instead calling for “freedom of language.” The law is modeled after a similar law in Austria that sought to “encourage a distinctly ‘European Islam.’” The Austrian law sought to “deter radicalization and foreign influence on the nation’s Muslims.” The spread of Islam to the West has been funded by Saudi Arabia. It has funded a perniciously radical form called Wahhabism.

White House Reviews China Policy

Sep 30, 2017

The White House will begin a comprehensive review of policy on China. The goal of the review is to “clearly outline U.S. goals, ensure all U.S. policies are designed to achieve those goals, and get everyone in the Administration on the same page.” The review was first proposed in June. It will also take “full account of China’s economic and strategic ambitions, and provide a vast range of policy options . . . .” The review may be completed later this fall before President Trump is scheduled to visit China in November. Creating a comprehensive policy is complicated. China is rich and has ambitious goals around the world especially in the area of trade and commerce. The administration has people with divergent views on China. The president is an outspoken critic while Secretary of State Tillerson wants a less confrontational approach to China. China hawks believe that China uses the North Korea situation to extract long-term concessions from the United States in exchange for short-term policy changes with Pyongyang.

Unions vs. Free Speech

Sep 30, 2017

In its pre-Term conference, justices began reviewing the petitions that have stacked up during the Court’s recess. The Supreme Court will determine whether or not “forced union dues from public-sector unions to pay for political activity . . . violate the First Amendment.” The Supreme Court appears to be ready to reconsider an earlier decision from 1977, Abood v. Detroit Board of Education. In the earlier case the Supreme Court allowed “forcing union members to pay for political speech they disagree with. Union dues that pay for political activity “almost always support liberal political candidates and priorities.” The Abood decision might have been overturned in 2015, however, Justice Scalia died before the decision could be issued. The case was tied 4-4 and dismissed. Now with nine justices, the Supreme Court may overturn Abood. Justice Gorsuch is thought to be a justice who will find that using union dues for political speech violates members First Amendment rights.

New Rules Issued For Use of Government Aircraft

Sep 30, 2017

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly will now have to approve all use of “government-owned, rented, leased, or chartered aircraft.” New rules were issued on Friday clarifying their use by government officials in the wake of Secretary Tom Price’s resignation. Several other officials in the administration are facing scrutiny of their use of government aircraft. The Director of Management and Budget issued a letter saying, “Every penny we spend comes from the taxpayer. We thus owe it to the taxpayer to work as hard managing that money wisely as the taxpayer must do to earn it in the first place.” The OMB director said, [W]ith few exceptions, the commercial air system used by millions of Americans every day is appropriate, even for very senior officials.” Democrats in Congress have called for administration officials to resign for their use of government aircraft. However, they have been silent about Senator Robert Menendez’s use of private aircraft in exchange for contributions from one of of his financial backers.

Bank Teller Rips Off Homeless Man

Sep 30, 2017

A Wells Fargo bank teller in Washington D.C. may have picked up some bad ideas from the nation’s politicians. The employee stole $185,000 from a homeless customer who tried to deposit the cash into his accounts with the bank. The homeless man was keeping the money in a garbage bag. He tried to deposit the money but was turned away because he did not have “the identification documents he needed to deposit the . . . cash . . . .” The bank teller “was accused of forging the customer’s signature to fraudulently open a Wells Fargo account in the customer’s name . . . .” “He funded the account with $3,000 of the homeless customer’s money.” The homeless man had no knowledge of the fraudulent activity. The teller spent the money over a two year period on vacations, debt repayment, and as a down payment on a house.

Trump Defends Hurricane Maria Response

Sep 30, 2017

The Trump administration has come under fire for its poor reaction to the hurricane in Puerto Rico. Food and emergency supplies have had difficulty in making it to the island. The president blamed the ocean. “This is an island surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water. We are closely coordinated with the territorial and local governments which are totally and unfortunately unable to handle this catastrophic crisis on their own.” Puerto Rico’s residents are “without access to food, water, health services, and electricity.” Mayor Carmen Cruz of San Juan said, “We are dying here. And I cannot fathom the though that the greatest nation i the world cannot figure out logistics for a small island . . . .“ The mayor warned that if help did not arrive soon, “what we are going to see is something close to a genocide.” President Trump pointed out the difficulties of providing aid to the island because of its damaged infrastructure and poor communications. On Thursday the president waived the Jones Act for ten days. Under the waiver, it will allow “foreign ships to deliver aid to the island without first traveling to the U.S. to transfer their cargo to an American ship.”

Alaska Energy Production Rebound

Sep 30, 2017

The Interior Secretary believes that increasing oil production in Alaska will “be a major part of the Trump administration’s plan for U.S. ‘energy dominance.’” “The road to energy dominance goes through the great state of Alaska,” said Secretary Since. Recently the Interior Department sold offshore drilling rights in Alaska for $3 million. With increased production, Alaska could rebound as a major oil producer. The National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) is estimated to hold 895 million barrels of oil and 52.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. In 2016 an oil field was found “on Alaska’s norther coast. It is estimated to hold as much as 6 billion barrels of oil. Congress opened the the NPR-A to oil and gas production, but the Obama administration designated 22.8 million acres as off-limits to drilling. The Trans-Alaska Pipeline would stand to benefit from increased oil production. Its capacity has fallen 39 percent over the last decade. If production does not increase, the pipeline could be closed as early as 2026. http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/29/alaska-will-be-t...

Secret Service Whistleblower Recommended for Reinstatement

Sep 30, 2017

The Inspector General’s office is recommending that a Secret Service agent whistleblower be reinstated with back pay and a restoration of his security clearance. Robert MacQueen blew the whistle on a poorly run Ponzi scheme investigation where the assets of a company were seized prior to any victims being identified. According to the IG’s report, Secret Service managers fabricated charges against MacQueen because he spoke out against the mismanagement. He was offered “fast-track” “disability retirement in return for dropping his complaints even though he is able-bodied and never sought any type of disability compensation.” “Knowingly helping to defraud the government by offering to help file a false disability claim is . . . a felony.” The Secret Service is reviewing the IG’s report to determine its next course of action. According to the report, this is the first time that it had verified an “instance of retaliation” “related to an agency wrongfully overturning or suspending an employee’s security clearance” under a directive protecting whistleblowers.

HHS Secretary Strikes Out

Sep 30, 2017

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price offered his resignation to the president on Friday. The president accepted. Price was in hot water after it was revealed that he was using private charter flights to travel the country in his official capacity as a department secretary. Estimates of his flights cost anywhere from $300,000 to $1 million. On Thursday, Price sought to appease the wrath of bad publicity that was descending upon him by writing a check for $51,000 for the cost of his seat on the jets. The money did not cover the actual cost of the flights. It was said that President Trump was “mad as hell” after it came to light that Price was flying charter flights. The private flights made the president look foolish. Looking foolish is one thing the president won’t abide. Up next on the hot seat is Scott Pruitt of the Environmental Protection Agency who has spent a reported $58,000 on government travel.

Sep 29, 2017

The Department of Justice has filed a landmark suit against a Colorado company for discriminating against U.S. citizens in it hiring practices. The complaint alleges that in 2016 the company called Crop Production refused to hire three American citizens for seasonal work. The DOJ alleges that this violates President Trump’s Executive Order on buying American and hiring American that requires American companies to hire American citizens for job openings. If none are available then the foreign workers can be hired.

Sep 29, 2017

House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana made an emotional return to the floor of the House of Representatives three months after he was shot at a Congressional baseball practice by a left wing activist specifically targeting Republicans. He arrived on crutches and received a standing ovation from his colleagues. He thanked the two capitol police officers he credits with taking down the shooter and saving his life. He also talked about how his faith in God kept him alive that day and during the difficult surgeries that followed. He was very grateful to have survived and be back at work.

Media Attacks Trump for slow Response to Puerto Rico

Sep 29, 2017

The liberal media and Democrats in congress continue trying to politicize the humanitarian disaster in Puerto Rico due to hurricanes Irma and Maria by criticizing Trump’s response. However, they are not getting much support from many of the people actually on the ground in the island including the Governor.

Governor Ricardo Rossello has not only failed to criticize Trump, but has praised his efforts and said that the federal government is doing all it can. He also points out that there are many FEMA and other federal employees on the ground along with a large military presence, but many areas of the island remain inaccessible. He also says that one of the biggest problems is the lack of truck drivers to deliver supplies.

GDP Growth Rate Higher than Expected

Sep 29, 2017

During the administration of Barack Obama the Growth Domestic Product (GDP) never got to 3% in any quarter much less above that. In only the second quarter under the presidency of Donald Trump the GDP exceeded expectations by growing to 3.1% .The growth is being credited to several factors, including robust consumer spending and a continued climb in employment.

The third quarter is not expected to be as strong due to the massive hurricane damage, but should rebound seriously in the fourth quarter when the rebuilding efforts in states like Texas and Florida are going strong.

As ESPN continue to lose its viewing audience because it is becoming a political network instead of one dedicated to sports. Now, one its commentators has decided to insult and attack any viewers who are to disagree with her categorizing President Trump as a white supremacist who surrounds himself with other white supremacists.

NFL Refuses to Enforce its Own Rules

Sep 29, 2017

The National Football League continues to expose its hypocrisy when it comes to -enforcing the parts of its own rulebook relating to the National Anthem. The rules require that the anthem must be played before each NFL game and that both teams should have all of its players on the sideline, facing the flag and standing at attention. Players are also instructed to refrain from talking. Harsh penalties can be imposed for failure to follow these rules including fines, suspensions, and even loss of draft choices for the team. The NFL is refusing to enforce these rules.

Pro-Life Leaders Calls On McConnell to Resign

Sep 29, 2017

A pro-life leader is calling upon Mitch McConnell to resign as Majority Leader. “This repeated incapacity to get the job done is completely unacceptable. I call on Mitch McConnell to resign from his position as Senate Majority Leader because of this leadership failure,” said Troy Newman of Operation Rescue. Republicans have been unable to get even fifty votes together to pass any reform of healthcare. But Planned Parenthood continues to be funded. “This means Planned Parenthood will have the resources it needs to continue its killing spree, and thousands of lives will be lost because of it,” said Newman. While campaigning, candidate Trump promised pro-lifers that he would defund Planned Parenthood and redirect the funds towards other community health centers. Newman called for McConnell’s replacement to be someone who can “unite the party and fulfill Trump’s agenda.” Kristan Hawkins of Students for Life of America called the continue funding of Planned Parenthood to be “appalling.” “This is why many in the pro-life community and pro-life generation are weary of trusting the Republican Party in particular and office holders in general.” “Too often, the promises made on the campaign trail are broken when a real opportunity to act is presented. It is time that the Republican Party demands a pro-life litmus test to make their actions match their words and their platform.

Trial in the Murder of Kim Jong-Nam

Sep 29, 2017

Two women will go on trial next week for the murder of Kim Jong-Nam, the brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The two women are accused of “rubbing toxic VX nerve agent in his face” while he was waiting for a plane at the Kuala Lumpur airport in Malaysia. Within 20 minutes of the attack, Kim Jong-Nam died. VX nerve agent attacks the central nervous system of the body. It is considered to be a weapon of mass destruction. But if it was VX Nerve agent, why weren’t the two women who did the attack affected by the VX? There were no serious injuries for first responders or other people in the airport. The two women say they believed they were taking part in a “prank for a reality TV show.” Defense attorneys believe that the real culprits behind the murder left the country. South Korea believes that North Korea’s leader is behind the murder of his brother. Kim Jong-Nam “had voiced criticism of the regime after falling from grace and going to live in exile overseas.” Malaysia and North Korea both expelled “each other’s ambassadors” immediately after the murder. Tensions eased after Malaysia returned Kim’s body” to North Korea.

Political Neophytes

Sep 29, 2017

The president’s son-in-law reportedly urged the president to support Luther Strange in the Alabama primary. Kushner believe that “strange’s victory would ‘enrage Steve Bannon’” according to a report by the Huffington Post. Part of the decision to back Strange may have come because Kushner may need Republicans in Congress to support him if “things go south in the Russia investigation.” The last days of the campaign saw the president speaking at a rally for Luther Strange, while Steve Bannon campaigned for Judge Moore. Judge Roy Moore won by ten points in a primary contest with incumbent Senator Luther Strange. By endorsing Strange, the president ended up on the same side as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who is intensely disliked by the president’s base of supporters. Presidents rarely endorse in primaries. The endorsement of Strange pitted the president against his base of loyal supporters. Former Trump adviser, Sam Nunberg, said, “Anyone with a pulse knew that Luther was going to lose the runoff. Luther barely survived the primary.”

Jones Act Holding Puerto Rico Hostage, Waived Temporarily

Sep 29, 2017

The Trump administration waived the Jones Act temporarily so that supplies could more easily and less expensively be brought into Puerto Rico. The waiver will last ten days. Under the Jones Act, only American made and operated ships may move cargo between U.S. ports. Smarter members of Congress recognize that the Jones Act impedes commerce, and that it makes it more expensive to ship products. In fact, San Juan Mayor Carmen Cruz said that the waiver “could help bring down the cost of supplies and construction materials by nearly 33 percent.” Yet members of Congress are pushing to extend the waiver for a mere year. Why not repeal the act altogether? President Trump waived the Jones Act for two weeks after the hurricanes in Texas and Florida. The president put a three star general in charge of relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Currently there is little electricity on the island. Officials estimate that it could take six months to restore power.

Steve Scalise Returns to Congress

Sep 29, 2017

Representative Steve Scalise returned to the House of Representatives. He was welcomed back to a chamber overflowing with members. “You have no idea how great this feels to be back here at work in the people’s house,” he said. He went on to say that the shooting had strengthened his faith in God. As he lay immobile on the field, Scales said that the first thing he did “was pray for God’s help.” “Pretty much every one of those prayers was answered, and there were pretty challenging prayers I was putting in God’s hands. It just gives you that renewed faith and understanding that the power of prayer is something you just cannot underestimate.” “I got to see that goodness in people, and so while some people might focus on a tragic event and an evil act, to me, all I’ll remember are the thousands of acts and kindness and love that came out of this.” He urged his colleagues “not to make things personal while waging their political battles.” And he recognized that his Democratic colleague from Louisiana “was one of the first people to come to the hospital the day of the attack.” "It really does show the warm side of Congress that very few people get to see. I want to thank each and everyone of you for that."

HHS Secretary Apologizes

Sep 29, 2017

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price “apologized for flying on private planes for government and personal business and pledge to reimburse taxpayers for the cost of the flights.” The Inspector General’s office is probing Price’s use of a private plane. The Secretary said that he would continue to cooperate. He said, “All my political career I’ve fought for the taxpayers. It is clear to me that in this case, I was not sensitive enough to my concern for the taxpayers. He went on to say that he would not take any more trips on private flights while head of HHS. He added that he would immediately write a check for the full cost and reimburse the U.S. Treasury. “The taxpayers won’t pay a dime for my seat on those planes.” The cost of the private plane was in excess of $300,000. On one trip he flew in early and stopped over at St. Simon’s Island resort in Georgia before addressing a medical conference. Earlier in the week, President Trump said that he was “not happy” about the private travel. He hinted that he might be willing to fire Price.

Court of Appeals Denies Full Court Hearing on Concealed Carry

Sep 29, 2017

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC circuit denied a petition to for an en banc hearing after an a three judge panel found the district’s gun-carry law unconstitutional. The DC law allows officials “to deny a permit application based on whether they believe the applicant has a ‘good reason’ for obtaining one.” The three judge panel ruled in July that DC’s “good-reason laws seem almost uniquely designed to defy it: that the law-abiding citizen’s right to bear common arms must enable the typical citizen to carry a gun. No judge on the full court of appeals requested to hear the case. As a result, the decision stands. The city must now decide whether or not to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. The city issued a statement sardine that it was “disappointed by the full D.C. Circuit’s decision not to rehear the case.” The National Rifle Association applauded the Court of Appeals decision to allow “law-abiding citizens to carry firearms to protect themselves and their families in the District of Columbia.

U.S. Pulling Embassy Staff Out of Cuba

Sep 29, 2017

The United States will withdraw a large number of embassy staff and family members from the Cuban embassy. It comes in response to the injuries that several staff members have experienced while on the island. Earlier in the week, Secretary of State Tillerson met with Cuba’s Foreign Minister to discuss the situation. The Cubans “did nothing to help assure the U.S. that Cuban officials are doing enough to protect the safety and welfare of UlS. diplomats in their country.” American investigators are being permitted into Cuba so as to investigate. Cuba officially denied that it had anything to do with the attacks. "The Cuban government has never perpetrated nor will it ever perpetrate attacks of any kind against diplomats. The Cuban government has never permitted nor will it ever permit the use of its territory by third parties for this purpose." Those diplomats affected by the sonic attacks complained about “hearing loss,” “headaches,” “nausea,” and problems balancing. 21 people are known to have been affected.

French Flee Wealth Tax

Sep 29, 2017

Bernie Sanders has long expressed his desire to see a wealth tax imposed on rich Americans. He recently proposed a wealth tax to fund his single-payer healthcare scam. Senator Sanders might want to look at how the wealth tax hurt France and its economy. Over the last 15 years, 10,000 people with about 35 billion euros in capital have left France to go live abroad. Businesses are not created. People are not hired. In France, the wealth tax “applies to personal assets of more than 1.3 million euros. France is working to change the tax so that it will “only apply to real estate.” Other forms of wealth would be exempted beginning in 2018. Prime Minister Edward Philippe said, “When someone leaves the country because of the wealth tax. . . collectively all French lose.” ‘And changing that’ “is something I’ll defend.”

Snowflakes Frightened by Beach Ball

Sep 29, 2017

A group of conservative students at Southern Illinois University were using a beach ball as part of a free speech exercise. The students would write a message on a beach ball and toss it to another student on the quad who in turn would repeat the process. This was so disturbing to several students that they called campus police “to express their concern” and fright. “It’s the ball that’s creating…people are scared of the beach ball?” one person asked the police. “Yeah, people are reporting that they’re scared of the beach ball, and what’s going on here,” answered the officer. The officers told the offending students that the quad was not a public space. “Right now, we’re going to have to put the ball away. It’s freaking a lot of people out. Student are calling in because they’re scared.” The officers denied that they were infringing on the student’s First Amendment rights. According to a director of University Marketing and Communications, the offending students were violating the university’s policy “governing freedom of expression and demonstration activities.”

Sep 28, 2017

He has sent out several tweets this week showing him in his West Point cadet uniform prior to graduation. In one he shows the inside of his hat where the words,” communism will win”. In another picture he opens his uniform to show a T-shirt featuring communist terrorist Che Guevara.

He also expessed his support for Colin Kaepernick who is a big fan of Guevara. Rapone is under investigation by the army, and one thing they have to look at is how he passed the rigorous background check required to even get into the prestigious military academy.

For the sixty-third quarter in a row FOX News is the highest rated cable news network, despite some recent changes in its schedules and some people leaving the network. CNN continues to struggle to get and keep viewers as does MSNBC. The one bright spot for the later seemed to be Rachel Maddow, the liberal commentator whose show was overall number one for her time slot.

However, that ended abruptly when FOX moved Sean Hannity’s show into the same time slot as Maddow. In their first head to head confrontation Hannity had over one million more viewers than Maddow, so it appears her short reign has ended.

James Mattis Targeted by Taliban

Sep 28, 2017

A major Taliban rocket attack on the Kabul airport yesterday was obviously meant to target Secretary of Defense James Mattis. The secretary had arrived at the airport shortly before the attack, and was already at meetings in the city. The attack consisted of at least 40 rockets being fired at the airport over a five hour period. One person was killed and eleven were injured. The attack was finally broken up by special operations troops who killed three of the attackers and were securing the area.

The Taliban took credit for the attack and said it was aimed at the secretary. This is a matter of great concern to the American and Afghan government and military since only a hand full of people were supposed to know of the Mattis visit. There was a massive breach of security somewhere.

Illegals Costing America Billions

Sep 28, 2017

Despite the fact that illegal border crossings have dropped significantly under the Presidency of Donald Trump American taxpayers are still footing a multi-billion dollar bill for the care of these people who are here because they have broken federal law. The cost is now $135 billion per year including medical care, education, and enormous law enforcement costs.

$88 billon of this is being paid for by the taxpayers in sanctuary states like California, Illinois, and New York just to name a few. The advocates for these illegals say that they pay taxes that cover much of these costs. However, studies show that the taxes paid by illegals amount to only about $19 billion leaving $116 billion to be picked up by taxpayers.

Democrats Come Out in Favor of High Taxes

Sep 28, 2017

The minority leader in the U. S. Senate, Chuck Schumer (D NY) was quick to come out and oppose the Republican tax reduction plan. He made the usual arguments that the plan only reduces taxes on the rich, and doesn’t help the middle class despite that under the plan some of the richest Americans will actually pay more taxes.

However, he did come out with rather bizarre argument even for him. He said the plan would greatly increase the deficit. Republicans and conservative pundits were quick to point out that this is a man who supported President Obama’s every move that resulted in the doubling of the deficit in just his two terms in office. Schumer’s Democrats have always supported high taxes.

Republicans Unveil Sweeping Tax Proposal

Sep 28, 2017

The President and the Republican leadership in the House and Senate unveiled a sweeping tax proposal to the American people yesterday. While many details need to be worked out the thrust of the plan is to bring about the campaign promises that Trump made while running for president. These include dramatically lowering the corporate tax rate, lowering personal income taxes for millions of Americans, and simplifying the thousands of complicated pages of the tax code to make it easier, and far less expensive for businesses to file their taxes.

A win on this issue is critical for Trump and the Republican Party and there is not a lot of time to get this done.

NFL Fans Launch Protests of their Own

Sep 28, 2017

The negative response of NFL fans, that are now former fans, to the anthem protests by NFL players continue to grow. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are being flooded by photos and videos of fans burning their season tickets, or the NFL gear they own. One YouTube video of a Marine Corps veteran burning his Baltimore Ravens tickers has gone viral as have similar videos.

In Colorado a veteran who is now a former Denver Broncos fan gathered up over fifty years of Bronco memorabilia that he has collected and donated it to charity because he was disgusted with Bronco players kneeling during the national anthem and disrespecting America. The gear was worth thousands of dollars.

Networks Censor Angry Fan Reactions to NFL Protests

Sep 28, 2017

It is well known that the major television networks routinely censored events and speech that does not conform to their liberal political agenda. They did it during the 2016 presidential campaign when, with the exception of Fox News, the networks carefully avoided showing the immense crowds that were attending the Trump campaign rallies.

Now they are engaging in their form of crowd control once again when it comes to the national anthem protests by NFL players. The networks are showing the kneeling players, but not the angry reactions of thousands of fans in the stands that were infuriated over the disrespect being shown to their country.

After Caving On DACA, President Worries He’s Endangered

Sep 28, 2017

The New York Times is reporting that President Trump is “deeply worried” that his support of “permanent amnesty to illegal aliens . . . ‘endangers’ his standing with his populist-nationalist base of supporters.” The president has come around to believing that his meeting with Minority Leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and agreement on “giving amnesty to . . . . 800,000 illegal aliens” has “put him at odds with his base.” Democrats and Republicans are scrambling in Congress to create an amnesty bill that would “give a pathway to U.S. citizenship for 3.3 million illegal aliens.” During the campaign, candidate Trump promised that there would be no amnesty and that he would deport people in the country illegally. The Trump base voted for him on that promise. If he signs legislation allowing the so called Dreamers to stay, the president will be viewed as having broken his main campaign promise. Staff members that embodied the message of the base have been let go from the White House. The president has surrounded himself with liberal Democrats who don’t see issues in the same light as he campaigned on them.

California’s Great Leap “Forward”

Sep 28, 2017

California Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown returned from visiting China recently. He carried with him an idea that would revolutionize the state. The governor wants to copy China and ban the “internal combustion engine in automobiles.” Mary Nichols, chairman of the California Air Resources Board said, “I’ve gotten messages from the governor asking, ‘Why haven’t we done something already?’ The governor has certainly indicated an interest in why China can do this and not California.” Nichols said that for California to meet the ambitious goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, “we have to pretty much replace all combustion with some form of renewable energy by 2040 or 2050. We’re looking at that as a method of moving this discussion forward.” California has one of the largest car markets in the entire care industry. “Over 2 million new passenger vehicles were sold and registered in the nation’s most populous state” in 2016. To force the internal combustion engine out of the state, bureaucrats are looking at methods of coercion to get the desired outcome. One consideration is to regulate “the types of cars that can be registered in the state or have access to highways.”

Mystery Democrats Complain About Paying Higher Taxes

Sep 28, 2017

Under the Republican’s proposed tax plan, state and local taxes would no longer be deductible on people’s federal income tax returns. Under the current tax code, Californians deprived the federal government of money to the tune of $101 billion in 2014. New Yorkers deprived Washington D.C of money to the tune of $68 million. Astonishingly, after the tax plan was rolled out, California Democratic politicians immediately complained about having to send more money to Washington D.C. “Republicans in Washington have once again zeroed in on California to punish us and make our state the single biggest loser in their reckless tax scheme,” said Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León. Senator Feinstein said the elimination of the deduction was a “non-starter.” New York’s Governor Cuomo called the idea a “death blow” for New Yorkers. The truly puzzling thing is that Democrats and Liberals love higher taxes. They always complain about the rich not paying their fair share. So why no excitement at the prospect of paying more money to the federal government?

Government Always Wants Its Money

Sep 28, 2017

A food truck operator in Green Cove Springs, Florida was told to stop selling BBQ to hurricane Irma victims because the owner was “operating without a permit.” Even though 90 percent of the city’s power grid lay in ruins, and hot meals were difficult to find, the city manager found that feeding people without the local government’s permission was the most pressing issue at that moment. One resident who saw two police officers issue the cease and desist order posted, “this is such a great little town, but it seems like the people who run it do their best to keep it from progressing.” Mayor Mitch Timerlake said that if the owner of the food truck had requested the proper government credentialing, “he would have been allowed to serve utility workers around the city.” “He is a commercial food truck operator, and he knows the local ordinances for food truck operation and had a responsibility to reach to the city to get a permit for what he wanted to do. We don’t prohibit food trucks. There are times and places where we welcome them.” The mayor did not say how long the permitting process would have taken. Or if it might have been affected because the power was out.

Venezuela Prepares for War

Sep 28, 2017

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro told his military commanders to prepare for war with the United States. Last week, the Trump administration barred “Venezuelan officials from entering the nation.” The president also said that he would do everything he could to help the Venezuelan people to get their country back. Maduro said, ”We have been shamelessly threatened by the most criminal empire that ever existed and we have the obligation to prepare ourselves to guarantee peace.” He continued, "We need to have rifles, missiles and well-oiled tanks at the ready....to defend every inch of the territory if needs be.” Venezuela’s people are starving because the government controls everything. Farmers cannot make a sufficient profit to be able to stay in business and make money. So they do not produce. Critics of Maduro’s government have begun to talk about a possible coup. Venezuela has experienced three attempted coups since 1992.

Navy Rushing to Implement Changes

Sep 28, 2017

The U.S. Navy is rushing to remedy the mishaps that have led to the deaths of 17 sailors. The Navy chose to ignore the buildup of problems that lead to two deadly collisions in crowded waters. At least on paper, sailors will get more sleep and fewer work hours. Navy ships will now “broadcast their positions as to other vessels.” Ships, whose crews lack certification for basic seamanship, will remain in port until crews are brought up to basic standards. Navy officials have long known about the issues, but chose to do nothing. Admiral Richardson, Chief of Naval Operations, had no explanation for the lack of preparedness when he appeared before the Senates Armed Services Committee. Commanders are going so far as to require the use of compasses, pencils, and paper “to help track potential hazards.” The increased deployments and a smaller Navy have left “little time to train and maintain ships amid their relentless duties.” One possible way for the Navy to find time to train would be to end politically correct celebrations such as LGBT Pride Month.

Leaker Blames Fox News

Sep 28, 2017

The National Security Agency contractor who leaked a report about Russian hacking attempts during the election said that she was triggered because Fox News was playing in her office. Reality Winner said, “I’ve filed formal complaints about them having Fox New on, you know?” Alternatively, she suggested, Al Jazeera TV, “or a slideshow with people’ pets.” Winner is charged “with mishandling classified information for leaking a top secret report that laid out evidence that Russian hackers had targeted U.S. voter registration databases.” Reality Winner printed the document, smuggled it out of the office in her pantyhose, and sent it to The Intercept website. “Let’s be straight, there’s little to no security on documents. Nobody pats you down,” Winner told agents. Her social media sites show that she was a supporter of Bernie Sanders “and various left-wing causes.” She told FBI investigators “she believed the NSA was sitting on evidence of Russian meddling in the presidential campaign” and could not believe that the document was being withheld from the public domain.

New Executive Orders Coming On Health Care

Sep 28, 2017

President Trump may issue an executive order that would affect how healthcare is made available to Americans. The proposed order would allow health insurance to be purchased across state lines. The president called his order “very major,” “where people can go out across state lines, do lots of things, and buy their own health care.” According to the president the order will “cover a lot of territory and a lot of people — millions of people.” The idea behind the executive order is to make the insurance market “more competitive by eliminating the barriers associated with state insurance regulation. Insurers would be able to offer national plans with lower administrative costs.” Another order the president is considering is to allow associations to sell group health insurance. Private societies, civic organizations, farm bureaus etc., would be able to sell insurance to their members. Senator Rand Paul has been a champion of allowing individuals to form associations and through the associations, buy group insurance. It may be one way to address the pre-existing conditions trap that Republicans find themselves in every time they try to overturn Obamacare.

Administration Not Keen on Waiving Jones Act

Sep 28, 2017

The Jones Act is a 100 year-old law that “requires that cargo shipments between U.S. ports only take place on American-made and operated vessels.” The Trump administration so far has not issued a waiver for the Jones Act so aid can more easily get to Puerto Rico. By issuing a waiver, emergency supplies could get to the island more easily and cheaply. The Department of Homeland Security is “still considering whether to grant the waiver.” Democrats in the House put together legislation on Wednesday that would allow the Jones Act to be waived in cases of disaster and humanitarian relief. “This is a humanitarian crisis and Puerto Rico needs all the help it can get,” said Rep. Nydia Velázquez. Under the legislation, the Jones Act would be waived for up to a year. President Trump said, “We’re thinking about that, but we have a lot of shippers, a lot of people that work in the shipping industry that don’t want the Jones Act lifted. And we have a lot of ships out there right now.” In his private business, the president worked closely with unions. He courted the union vote in his campaign. Waiving the Jones Act would have political consequences for the president.

West Point Graduate Shows His Communist Bona Fides

Sep 28, 2017

A West Point graduate is being investigated for posting his pro-communist beliefs on social media. In one picture he showed off a red shirt underneath his uniform with a picture of Che Guevara on it. He wrote, “In case there was any lingering doubt, hasta la victoria simepre.” In another picture of himself, he was holding his hat with the message “communism will win” written inside.. The Army announced that it was investigating 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone. "Second Lieutenant Rapone's actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army." "As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone's chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer's chain of command as required.”

Otto Warmbier’s Parents Speak Out

Sep 27, 2017

While some members of the liberal media are criticizing President Trump for “disrespecting” North Korean’s brutal dictator Kim Jong Un by calling him little rocket man, the parents of the murdered American student Otto Warmbier are speaking out. When the young American was returned home after being wrongly imprisoned in North Korea for a year, NBC News reported he appeared to be well nourished, but also that he was in a coma.

His parents said he was not in a coma, but was blind, deaf, and screaming in pain. They also reported there were numerous signs of torture including damage to his teeth and other parts of his body. He died a week after being returned home to Ohio. The parents have labeled North Korea as a terrorist state and want the U.S. government to label it as such.

Judge Roy Moore Wins Alabama Senate Primary

Sep 27, 2017

In a major blow to the Republican Party establishment and President Donald Trump Judge Roy Moore won a big victory over incumbent Luther Strange, who was appointed to replace Jeff Sessions after he was named Attorney General. This should be a clear signal to both Republican and Democrat leaders that the anger of the average American at the business as usual attitude of the people in power has not abated.

As the liberal media, the Hollywood elite, and the millionaire sports stars, continue to lecture Americans about how stupid they are and how they are all racists if they don’t support leftist polices, the Alabama race has shown that people are digging in their heels. If the Republicans fail to pass the promised tax reductions, it will only get worse.

Ohio Moves to Ban Eugenics Based Abortions

Sep 27, 2017

In some countries like Iceland the government is proud of the fact that the disorder labeled Downs Syndrome has mostly been eliminated. This is true not because a cure has been found, but because the country highly encourages that unborn children found to have the disorder be aborted. Pro-abortion groups in the United States are pushing for the same thing, but states are already resisting.

North Dakota and Indiana have already passed legislation to prohibit this type of abortion targeting and now Ohio is considering similar legislation. Of course, pro-abortion groups like NARAL oppose the legislation. After all, their heroine is Margaret Sanger who founded Planned Parenthood in order to eliminate what she considered the “inferior” black race.

Texas Wins Second Round in Sanctuary City Case

Sep 27, 2017

A three judge panel in the federal Fifth Circuit of Appeals has placed a temporary stay on an injunction issued by a lower federal court that stayed the State of Texas from punishing sanctuary cities in the state. This is a major victory and indicates the strong possibility that the law will be upheld. This would be in line with the Constitution and existing federal law that generally gives states the right to regulate the way it spends its own money.

Texas also argues that it can force municipalities and law enforcement agencies to obey both federal and state laws when it comes to enforcing immigration laws. Considering the fact that between 2008 and 2014 illegal aliens in the state of Texas committed over 600,000 crimes, including 3,000 murders the stare certainly has a compelling interest in enforcing immigration laws.

Republicans in Senate fail Again

Sep 27, 2017

For the second time in the last few months Republicans in the U.S. Senate have failed to come up with the 50 votes needed to repeal and replace Obamacare. The first time they managed to get enough votes to bring it to the floor of the Senate for debate and final passage. However, that failed when John McCain unexpectedly voted no on final passage.

The second attempt did not even make it through the procedural vote to get it to the floor. This time, not only did McCain and Susan Collins pledge to again vote against it; so did conservative Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. This forced Mitch McConnell to not even bring it up for a vote.

Trump Criticized for Response to Hurricane Maria

Sep 27, 2017

Some in the liberal media and Democrats in congress are starting to criticize President Trump for what they claim is a poor response to the disaster caused in Puerto Rico by hurricanes Irma and Maria. They claim that he is spending too much time fighting with the NFL and ignoring the plight of the 3.4 million people on the island as well as the people in the devastated Virgin Islands.

Members of the administration claim that this is far from the truth. There are currently 10,000 federal employees on the island from FEMA and numerous other agencies, including the thinly spread military. Thousands of tons of food, water, medicine, and fuel have been delivered. The problem is that so much of the island is still flooded and so many infrastructures destroyed that getting the supplies to the most desperate areas is still impossible.

Veterans Taking on the NFL

Sep 27, 2017

Two Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) posts in Ohio have announced that they will no longer be broadcasting NFL games at their facilities. Many other posts are expected to follow suit. In addition, the national commanders of both the American Legion and the VFW had harsh criticism for the players who participate in the so called protests and the league itself.

They believe that it is disrespectful to the flag, the nation, and to military veterans and active duty military. The NFL as a whole, and many teams are already feeling the economic effects of the anger among veterans and the general public.

Deadline Approaches for Kennedy Assassination Document Dump

Sep 27, 2017

The government is required to release the remaining documents relating to the November 1963 assassination of President Kennedy. President Trump has until October 26 to decide. The remaining 3,000 documents are expected to shed new light onto the assassination. It is still possible that the FBI and CIA will ask that the president keep certain documents classified. “It’s long past the time to be forthcoming with this information,” said Larry Sabato with the University of Virginia Center for Politics. In July, the National Archives release 440 new documents relating to the assassination that had never been seen by the public. It also release thousands of other documents had been released but with redactions. Sabato believes that some records may have been destroyed prior to the 1992 law that ordered all related documents to be kept at the National Archives. Documents that probably won’t be released are those related to the tax affairs of Jack Ruby.

Venezuela Launches Into Tirade At UN

Sep 27, 2017

Venezuela’s foreign minister addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Monday. His speech turned into a tirade against President Trump. Jorge Arreaza called the American president a “World Emperor” who “used this forum constructed for peace to announce wars, the total destruction of member states, [and] the application of coercive, unilateral, and illegal measures, threatening and judging at his leisure, as if he had absolute dictatorial powers over the sovereign member states of our organization.” The foreign minister said that the president was “the worst violator of human rights, not just in its territory, but around the world.” President Trump said last week that he stood with the people of Venezuela. He pledged that he would assist them in regaining their freedoms and democracy. Venezuela’s socialist government has starved the people and has committed a “wide variety of human rights abuses including extreme police brutality and sex crimes against unarmed protesters.”

Women Will Be Allowed To Drive in Saudi Arabia

Sep 27, 2017

Women in Saudi Arabia will be able to drive in June of 2018. The country’s king made the announcement on Tuesday. The previous Saudi king had promised that women would be allowed to drive, but he died before he could see it through. The country’s top Islamic cleric defended the ban on women driving in 2016. He claimed “that driving harms a woman’s ovaries and that the act will expose women ‘to evil.’” The relenting of rules allowing women to drive comes after other changes in Saudi society. In 2015, women were given the right to vote for the first time. Earlier this month, women were permitted into King Fahd sports stadium. “Men and women were allowed to sit and mix together in a public arena.” Saudi women’s rights activists have been pushing for the right to drive since at least 2011 when Manal Al-Sharif “was arrested and jailed for nine days after she defied the kingdom’s female driving ban and posted video of the moment online. Al-Sharif was charge with ‘driving while female.’”

Small Legal Case May Cost Coffee Industry

Sep 27, 2017

Sellers of coffee may have to post cancer warning signs in California depending upon the verdict in a little known class-action lawsuit. The case centers around acrylamide, “a carcinogen found in cooked foods such as French fries that is also a natural byproduct of the coffee roasting process.” The coffee industry is having to prove that acrylamide “is at harmless levels and is outweighed by benefits from drinking coffee.” Raphael Metzger, the attorney who is spearheading the complaint, says that his goal is to get the industry to remove the chemical. “I’m addicted — like two-thirds of the population. I would like the industry to get acrylamide out of the coffee so my addiction doesn’t force me to ingest it.” Several companies have paid substantial sums to settle complaints and are posting signs in their business locations. Defense attorneys in the class-action case are pinning their hopes on an exemption clause for “chemicals that result naturally form cooking necessary for palatability or to avoid microbiological contamination.”

Big GOP Changes Coming

Sep 27, 2017

Roy Moore’s win Tuesday may mean huge upheaval for Republican incumbents in 2018. While Republicans have a majority in Congress and have the White House, they have done nothing with their power. After eight months of being in full control of the government, Obamacare is still on the books, the border wall has not been built, and there are no tax cuts. Republicans ran for seven years promising to repeal Obamacare. The promise defined the GOP. However, they could not deliver the goods when it came down to actually repealing the former president’s signature legislation. The only thing Republicans and Democrats have united around is investigating the president and keeping him bogged down in a Russia investigation that has no basis in fact. The bi-partisanship continues with Republicans in full agreement that the country needs more immigrants and plans to legalize many who are in the country illegally. As votes were being counted in the Alabama race Tuesday night, Republican Senator Corker announced he would not run for re-election in 2018. He may see the peasants with pitchforks coming to clear the swamp.

Renegotiate Iran Deal, Says Lindsey Graham

Sep 27, 2017

Senator Lindsey Graham wants President Trump to re-negotiate the Iran Deal. Graham said that while Iran is technically complying with the agreement, the country is “violating the spirit of the pact through its continued destabilizing activities in the Middle East, such as supporting terrorist groups.” The senator said that one of the biggest mistakes of the deal was the disconnection between “the behavior of the regime and sanctions relief.” Graham said that he does not want the president to “abandon the nuclear part of [the agreement] unless we have a reason to because I know the world is invested in this deal.” Renegotiation would be nearly impossible. The EU, Britain, France, and Germany have declined to reopen the agreement. Russia and China have also refused. Iran has also nixed the idea. Iranian “President Hassan Rouhani threaten to ‘respond decisively and resolutely’ if the United States chooses to blow up the accord.” Under the Nuclear Deal, Iran will be able to eventually enrich uranium.

DOJ Fights For Campus Free Speech

Sep 27, 2017

Attorney General Sessions pledged that the Justice Department would push back against colleges that silence free speech. “This permissive attitude toward the heckler's veto has spawned a cottage industry of protesters who have quickly learned that school administrators will capitulate to their demands.” "Protesters are now routinely shutting down speeches and debates across the country in an effort to silence voices that insufficiently conform with their views," said the Attorney General. Sessions promised that his department would enforce federal law and defend freedom of speech on campuses. The first action the DOJ plans, is to file a “Statement of Interest” in a “lawsuit filed by students at Georgia Gwinnett College” who were not allowed freedom of speech outside of a “free-speech zone.” Protesters were not allowed in the room where he delivered his statement. But protesters gathered outside to protest and kneel “in the name of civil rights.”

Otto Warmbier’s Last Days

Sep 27, 2017

Otto Warmbier’s parents gave an interview on Tuesday wit Fox & Friends. Fred and Cindy Warmbier told of their experience in welcoming their son back home. Fred Warmbier described his son’s condition. "When we got halfway up the steps [of the plane], we heard this howling – [an] involuntary, inhuman sound. We weren't really certain what it was. We climbed to the top of the steps, and we looked in. And Otto was on the stretcher, across in the plane, and he was jerking violently, making these inhuman sounds. Cindy and Gretta [Otto's sister] ran off the plane." He went on to describe his son’s physical condition. Otto’s head had been shaved and a feeding tube was coming out of his nose. Otto was blind and deaf. “It looked like someone had taken a pair of pliers and re-arranged his bottom teeth.” “They destroyed him,” Cindy Warmbier said. "Our image of Otto, as you know, was of someone just wonderful, beautiful inside and out. And to see how he came home was too much for us. I almost passed out, but I got it together, and I rode in the ambulance with him, 'cause I did not want him to be alone anymore. He'd been alone for way too long. And we stayed with him and loved him as best as we could," she continued. The Warmbiers are pushing to have North Korea added to the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Republicans Ask for Independent Counsel Investigation

Sep 27, 2017

14 Republican House Judiciary Committee members wrote a letter to the Department of Justice asking that a special counsel be appointed to investigate “actions taken by Obama Administration officials like former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former FBI Director James Comey, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.” The matters that the Republicans are asking to be investigated, “appear to be outside the scope of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.” The letter to Attorney General Sessions points out that Director Comey “had prepared a statement ending the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, before interviewing at least 17 key witnesses, including the former Secretary herself.” The letter points out that Clinton’s FBI interview was not recorded and completely “inexplicable.” “The nation’s top law enforcement officials … conspired to sweep the Clinton ‘matter’ under the rug … [confirming] that there is, truly, one system for the powerful and politically well-connected, and another for everyone else.”

Roy Moore Wins Runoff

Sep 27, 2017

The Republican swamp was drained of one establishment incumbent Tuesday. Judge Roy Moore beat Senator Luther Strange. Moore will now face former Democrat Doug Jones in the general election on December 12. Jones is a former U.S. Attorney. He is a supporter of Obamacare, abortion, and Planned Parenthood. He believes in government interventionism in the student debt market and believes government should dictate the wages that employers pay their employees. Roy Moore believes in God, limited government, the Constitution, freedom, and liberty. Senate Majority Leader is said to have spent upwards of $30 million to back Luther Strange. But in the end, voters ditched Mitch and the entrenched establishment. Alabamian voters will have a sharp and distinct choice on December 12. With this win, grassroots conservatives will be emboldened to begin replacing incumbent Republicans. “The face of the Republican Party will soon start to resemble the heart that’s been driving votes for the last seven years.”

Maxine Waters Obsessed With Impeachment

Sep 26, 2017

California Congresswoman Maxine Waters represents one of the poorest House Districts in the country, but she doesn’t even live in the district. Instead she lives in a six million dollar home in a gated community in a more affluent area. Many wonder how she can afford that on a Congressional salary. In what appears to be a ruse to avoid answering such questions Waters has become obsessed with the impeachment President Donald Trump, even though she appears to have not ever read the U.S. Constitution. She was actually calling for Trump’s impeachment before he was elected. She has since called for his impeachment for a number of weird reasons and the latest is because he has criticized NFL players for disrespecting the national anthem. None of reasons come close to the constitutional standard of impeachment for “high crimes and misdemeanors”.

Teacher Rewrites Declaration of Independence

Sep 26, 2017

A fourth grade teacher at Salk Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona decided that she needed to rewrite the Declaration of Independence to make it politically correct. She took out the words man and men and changed them to human, so instead of stating that “all men are created equal” it said that “all humans are created equal” etc. She then forced the children in her class to recite the PC version. The mother of one student was outraged so she posted the revised version of the declaration on her Facebook.

The school administration immediately attacked the mother for “hurting the teacher’s feelings”. However, as outrage spread among parents the school eventually apologized and admitted the historic document should not have been altered.

Situation in Puerto Rico Continues to Worsen

Sep 26, 2017

Despite major relief efforts by FEMA, the U.S, military and private agencies, the situation in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands continues to get worse. Massive damage from hurricanes Irma and Maria has caused many areas to be inaccessible due to the blockage of roads and destruction of bridges, not to mention the major flooding.

This means that when supplies such as food, water, medicine, and fuel are brought into the islands the people that desperately need them are not able to get to the locations where the relief is available and rescuers can’t reach them. In Puerto Rico there is also the imminent danger of a major dam breaking and causing additional devastating flooding. There is still no power available.

Cowboys and Cardinals Stand Tall

Sep 26, 2017

After a tumultuous Sunday when most NFL teams had players kneel, sit, or hide in their locker room during the National Anthem, the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys disappointed the leftist media and the America haters. They stood tall during the anthem with not one player on either team showing any sign of disrespect.

In a show of team unity prior to the game all of the players and coaches of the Dallas Cowboys locked arms with their owner Jerry Jones, and briefly knelt on the field, but stood tall for the anthem. Most Americans are reacting positively to both teams.

Media Mostly Ignores Terrorist Attack on Church

Sep 26, 2017

While multi-millionaire NFL players were throwing a temper tantrum by refusing to respect our national anthem and our flag a much more significant news story was happening in Tennessee where there was a terrorist attack on a rural church. The church had a mixed race congregation and was attacked by a black man who just happened to be an immigrant from Sudan. He started his shooting spree by killing a young white mother of three in the parking lot and then entered the church and shot the pastor and six other people.

He was stopped by a courageous young man who after being pistol whipped got his own legally owned firearm and held the shooter at bay until the police arrived. Most of the national news media ignored the story, because the shooter was not white, was an immigrant from a Muslim nation, and was stopped by someone who believes in the 2nd Amendment.

Chelsea Manning Barred from Entering Canada

Sep 26, 2017

Chelsea Manning, the former male turned female and former American soldier turned traitor is upset because she was denied entrance to Canada due to her felony conviction in the United States. Manning was originally convicted by a military tribunal of illegally turning over 70,000 classified documents to Wikileaks while she was still known as Bradley.

Manning was sentenced to 35 years in prison, but the sentence was commuted by Obama just before he left office.Manning apparently expected to be treated as a hero, but even Harvard University withdrew an offer of employment after receiving protests from alumni. Maybe the problem is that no one trusts Manning anymore.

Steelers Coach Criticizes Army Veteran for not Protesting Anthem

Sep 26, 2017

Pittsburg Steelers player Alejandro Villanueva played football at the U.S. military academy at West Point and following graduation became an army ranger, served three combat tours in Afghanistan, and was awarded the Bronze Star for bravery. Then he went on to play professional football. On Sunday when the rest of the team and most coaches protested the National Anthem by hiding in their locker room the former army ranger stood at attention on the field with his hand over his heart.

Pittsburg coach Mike Tomlin has actually criticized him for this, but the fans have had an entirely different reaction. Sales of his jersey have skyrocketed among fans around the country.

North Korea Makes New Threats

Sep 26, 2017

The war of words between President Trump and the North Korean dictatorship continued this week with the North’s foreign minister stating that Trump has declared war on his country and that it is contemplating shooting down American planes. If the North were to take any such action it would lead to a strong and immediate response by the United States. Such action would not require a declaration of war by the U.S. Congress.

In fact, a state of war still exists between the United States and North Korea. The Korean War ended on July 27, 1953 with a cease-fire and armistice. In other words neither side surrendered so the armistice legally ended the fighting, but not necessarily the war.

NASCAR Backs Trump on Anthem

Sep 26, 2017

There were no protests during the National Anthem prior to Sunday’s NASCAR race. Drivers, crew members, and fans were united in honoring the U.S. flag, National Anthem, and honoring the military. This is far different from what occurred around the NFL when entire teams hid out in the locker room during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner. There were only a few teams that had no members involved in the protest, including the Carolina Panthers.

NASCAR owners also warned the drivers and crew members that any who protested the anthem would have their employment terminated. No one had to be fired on Sunday.

Texas Anti-Sanctuary City Law Goes Into Effect

Sep 26, 2017

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a district court’s ruling that barred a new anti-sanctuary city law in Texas from going into effect. Texas will now be able to begin to implement and enforce “key provisions of the law including the duty of law enforcement agencies to detain illegal aliens wanted by immigration officials.” The court of appeals ruled that one provision requiring local governments “to comply with immigration detainers should take effect.” Texas Attorney General thanked the court of appeals and said, “Enforcing immigration law helps prevent dangerous criminals from being released into Texas communities.” Texas Governor Abbot said that the decision is a “victory for the Rule of Law and will help keep our communities safe by removing dangerous criminals from our streets. I am confident that moving forward, this law will continue to be upheld as constitutional.”

Congress Gets Involved in Kushner Email Investigation

Sep 26, 2017

The president’s son-in-law was revealed to have been using a personal email account to transact government business. Trey Gowdy, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, joined with Democrat Elijah Cummings to request that the White House and 24 other federal agencies turn over information about the use of personal email accounts. The House Oversight Committee investigated Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server in 2015 and 2016. Kushner is alleged to have used a private email account “for occasional White House business.” Kushner released a statement saying that the emails were “forwarded to his official address and stored in accordance with policy.” According to Kushner’s attorney, “Fewer than 100 emails from January through August were either sent to or returned by Mr. Kushner to colleagues in the White House from his personal email account.” In light of the Hillary Clinton email scandal, Democrats are likely to point out the hypocrisy of a member of the Trump administration using personal email accounts to transact government business. The letter from the House Oversight Committee, asked for the names of officials who use “text messages, phone-based message applications, or encryption software.”

Brussel’s Police Officer Arrested For Passing Information to Terror Cell

Sep 26, 2017

A Belgian police officer, who is of North African background, was arrested on Monday in Brussels. Authorities had been watching him for weeks prior to his arrest. According to investigators, the officer used the “social messaging service WhatsApp to give the terror cell details on what was a going on with the police investigation into their group’s activities.” Investigators are trying to find out what messages the officer sent and what “specific information” he passed along. It’s possible that the terror cell received information on potential raids that would have allowed members to evade capture. The officer faces charges of “violation of professional secrecy and corruption” charges. Authorities have not yet charged the officer with any terror related charges. Last year in Germany an officer was arrested for trying to recruit Islamists and “plotted to bomb the national headquarter of the agency in Cologne.”

Immigrants Commit Almost Half of Crimes in Berlin

Sep 26, 2017

In December 2016, leftists in Berlin claimed that “right-wing extremism” was more of a threat than immigrants. Yet a new report shows that immigrants were responsible for almost half of the reported crime in Berlin, Germany. The percentage of crimes committed by immigrants increased to 45 percent in 2016. It was an increase o five percent from the previous year. Migrants gravitated towards pickpocketing, heroin trafficking, and car thefts. Immigrants committed crimes “at three and a half times the rate of Germans.” On Sunday, Angela Merkel’s party was given a shock by voters. The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party captured 13 percent of the vote, making it the third largest political party. Leaders of the party opposed Merkel’s open border policies and wants greater restrictions on immigration. Merkel will now have several difficult months ahead of her as she tries to form a government.

Snowflakes Need Emotional Safety Pits

Sep 26, 2017

Universities are going all out to support their tender snowflake students. The latest trend is to provide “ball pits as a means of providing their students with ‘emotional safety.’” The ball pits are used “as icebreakers, to break down racial barriers, facilitate lessons on wellness, and as part of freshmen orientation.” “The ball pits were perfect for allowing students to feel comfortable,” said Kate Ayotte at Central Connecticut State University. “That was the greatest benefit for helping them have conversations with other students they didn’t know and talk about mental health. They were so relaxed and just hanging out in the pools.” Cynthia Cutshall with St. Mary’s College said, “The balls start conversations between student sand help them get to know one another on a slightly deeper level.” At Ole Miss, administrators write questions on the balls so as to facilitate conversations. Students can also write questions on balls so they can engage other students. Most ball pits are found in children’s play areas at places such as McDonalds.

Election Eve Campaigning in Alabama

Sep 26, 2017

Monday was the final full day of campaigning before Tuesday’s special election in Alabama to pick a Republican nominee to replace former Senator Jeff Sessions. In one rally, Judge Moore spoke out against the political ads accusing him of not believing in the Second Amendment. Judge Moore said those ads were “completely false.” To demonstrate his belief, he “pulled out a concealed carry handgun, held it up high and said, “I believe in the Second Amendment.” In a rally Monday evening, Moore campaigned with Sarah Palin, Nigel Farage, Steve Bannon, and Phil Robertson. Moore said, “We’ve got to go back to God. We’ve got to go back to a moral base.” He said that by voting on Tuesday, voters could take a stand against the Washington establishment and those that tried to buy the election for $30 million. Steve Bannon told the crowd that Judge Moore represented the values of the people of Alabama. He added that by voting for Moore, the voters were voting for Donald Trump and voting to “Make America Great Again.”

Rand Paul Outlines What it Would Take To Get His Support

Sep 26, 2017

Senator Rand Paul outlined the changes that he would have to see in Graham-Cassidy in order to get his support. The senator sees the block grants as just an extension of Obamacare. "Graham/Cassidy keeps and redistributes/spends over a trillion dollars. My promise to the voters was to repeal Obamacare - not block grant and keep Obamacare. If Obamacare were truly repealed, this entire trillion dollars would not be spent. This is the primary obstacle to my support, and only a significant reassessment of this trillion-dollar spending regime would get my support." However, if the legislation was changed to accommodate Senator Paul, Graham-Cassidy would lose the support of other Republican senators. Senator Paul also wants Congress to act on his Association Health Plans idea which would let businesses and individuals “band together to buy health insurance as a group.”

North Korea Claims U.S. Declared War On North Korea

Sep 26, 2017

The war of words between President Trump and North Korea has now risen to the level of war, according to North Korea’s Foreign Minister. “Last week, Trump claimed that our leadership wouldn’t be around much longer, and hence, at last, he declared war on our country,” said foreign minister Ri Jong Ho. "Given the fact that this comes from someone who is currently holding the seat of the United States presidency, this is clearly a declaration of war. The U.N. charter stipulates individual member states’ rights to self-defense." The foreign minister said that North Korea reserved the right to shoot down planes near their border. "Since the United States declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down the United States’ strategic bombers, even when they're not yet inside the air-space border of our country.”

Three Republican Senators Kill Graham-Cassidy

Sep 26, 2017

Senator Susan Collins of Maine killed the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill when she announced that she would join Senators McCain and Paul to vote against it. Collins opposed the bill for three reasons. 1. It would take $1 trillion out of the Medicaid program between 2020 and 2036. 2. There is the possibility that states could “weaken protections for people with pre-existing conditions.” 3. Finally she said that physicians, insurers, and hospitals did not support the plan. Under Graham-Cassidy, responsibility for healthcare services would be returned to the states, and it would overturn the individual mandate. If Graham-Cassidy is brought to a vote, it will likely be defeated. Republicans will try to shore up Obamacare and keep it stable.

Republicans In Control Of NLRB

Sep 26, 2017

Republicans now hold a majority on the National Labor Relations Board. The board “oversees workplace disputes and union elections.” William Emanuel was appointed by President Trump. He has worked as labor attorney for management and is a member of the Federalist Society. Under the Republican controlled board, the agency will consider several challenges to decisions made by the Obama administration. Trey Kovacs with the Competitive Enterprise Institute said, “"It's essential that the NLRB start to undo the harm caused during the Obama administration, when the board put out numerous job-killing decisions and rules that weaken worker choice.” During hearings, Democrats fiercely opposed Emanuel’s appointment, pointing out that Emanuel had “never represented a worker or union in an employment matter — not even in pro bono work. The next opening on the National Labor Relations Board will open in December when the current chairman’s term expires.

U.S. Military Stretched Very Thin

Sep 25, 2017

The United States military is just beginning to recover from the massive cuts made by Obama to both its manpower and budget. Now, while it still has thousands of troops deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and South Korea it is being called on to respond to the devastation caused by three massive hurricanes that hit the mainland of the country as well as our territories like the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

This is causing the military to be stretched very thin, and there is also the growing concern about the incredible stress level being reached by our men and women in the services. Units of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and National Guard have been moving from one disaster area to another over the last month. They are nearing the point of exhaustion.

New Republican Obamacare Repeal Plan Collapsing

Sep 25, 2017

It now appears that unless there is a miracle the Republicans in the Senate are going to fail once again to fulfill a promise they have been making to the voters for seven years. They are not going to have the votes to pass a bill repealing and replacing Obamacare. The question for many people is not whether the objections to the proposed bill are valid or not.

Instead they fear that the ultimate outcome may be that the Republicans may lose the Senate majority in the midterm elections and never have another chance. They also fear that this might open the door to the ultimate Democrat goal of socialized medicine in the United States.

Amid the NFL Protests One Man Stands Alone

Sep 25, 2017

On a day that many people believe will live in infamy for the NFL, players on almost every team disrespected the country that has made them millionaires by sitting or kneeling in protest of the National Anthem. The only one that had no players participate in the protests was the Carolina Panthers. In the case, of the Pittsburg Steelers, the players and most coaches chose to hide in their locker room until the anthem was over.

However, there was one notable exception; Steeler Alejandro Villaneuva stood alone on the field. He is a West Point graduate and served two combat tours in Afghanistan. He knows what the Star Spangled Banner stands for. He is one of only three members of the NFL who has served in the military. The rest don’t know what it means to serve in the military, a police department, or as a first responder.

DiCaprio Ignites Social Media Strom

Sep 25, 2017

Ultra-liberal Hollywood elitist Leonardo DiCaprio ignited a social media storm when he stated that people should not be allowed to hold public office if they don’t believe in science. Many people immediately took to social media to ask the actor what “science” he was referring to and who decided what scientific facts were acceptable.

For many people that answer was obvious, you have to believe in man-made climate change and the Paris Climate agreement signed by Barack Obama. At the same time, many people pointed out the DiCaprio and his fellow elitists ignore other scientific facts like life beginning at conception so they can continue to support abortion on demand.

Hillary Clinton Calls out Women who Voted Against her

Sep 25, 2017

One of the many reasons that Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump was the fact that she labeled most Trump supporters a basket of deplorables who were racists, homophobic, etc. Now, as part of her desperate effort to blame everyone and everything for her loss, except of course herself, she has set her sights on women who dared to vote against her.

She first made the ridiculous statement that women who voted against her did so only because their husbands told them to. That angered many women, but then she came back and said that the women who voted against her “disrespected themselves”. That will probably not go over well either.

Colin Kaepernick has his Own Heroes

Sep 25, 2017

Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick has become a hero of the left in the United States for kneeling during the National Anthem before football games. Many people believe this was a deliberate act of disrespect not only to Americans and their flag, but to our veterans and active military that have fought and died for that flag.

What the liberal press rarely mentions though is who Kaepernick looks at as his heroes. He speaks highly of Fidel Castro and his oppressive communist regime in Cuba. He has also been seen wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt that shows he idolizes one of the most brutal terrorists in history who was infamous for leading his armed men into isolated Cuban villages, killing all the men and boys, and raping women and girls before murdering them.

NFL Doubles Down on Dishonoring America

Sep 25, 2017

After President Donald Trump criticized the NFL players who dishonor our country by kneeling during the playing of the National Anthem the NFL reacted by taking their hatred of America a step further. Yesterday whole teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Tennessee Titans, and the Seattle Seahawks refused to even come out on the field until the anthem was over.

Many people are totally disgusted with a league made of millionaires who they say are now behaving like small children, cowering in the locker room instead of facing the wrath of the fans they are insulting. The NFL may be done.

Union Hypocrisy

Sep 25, 2017

The Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC), a union advocacy group, wants to hire someone to “spearhead its campaign to raise the minimum wage for tipped workers.” The person the group wants to hire will be “entry level,” and be “an experienced legislative advocate [who will] live and breathe this campaign from now until the end of the New York State legislative session.” And rather than being an employee who is paid in union sized wages, the new hire will be an “independent contractor.” The Restaurant Opportunities Center has strenuously complained about companies that classify their workers as independent contractors. The group argues that companies use independent contractors to avoid benefits and job security. The ROC was the defendant is a 2013 lawsuit “in which eight former ROC employees filed suit against the organization for failing to pay them.” The ROC did not respond to a request for comment

California Could Experiment All It Wants under Graham-Cassidy

Sep 25, 2017

Under the Graham-Cassidy legislation, California would be able to experiment with a single-payer system. The legislation would block grant funds to the states and allow them to create their own solutions to healthcare. Justice Louis Brandeis once wrote the the states were “laboratories of democracy.” The state can “try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” A plan was introduced earlier in 2017 to create a single-payer system in California. It reportedly would cost the state $400 billion per year. The state would have to raise and additional $200 a year in taxes to pay for it. The legislation was shelved until the legislature figured out a funding mechanism. Democrats politicians in California are pushing to derail Graham-Cassidy. The state does not want to be left alone to experiment. “Unless the other states can be coerced into following California’s example — whether on healthcare, transgender bathrooms, climate change, or immigration — then a grave injustice is said to be taking place.

Californians Rush to Fund DACA

Sep 25, 2017

Californians are being persuaded to donate their own money to “cover costs for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.” The renewal fee is $495. Judy London, an immigrant rights attorney, said, “These DACA beneficiaries are often working two jobs and paying college tuition. There is just not $495 lying around.” People who renew under DACA by October 5 will be protected for two years. One donor gave $50,000 to the effort to help more people sign up or renew under DACA. When the program ends in October, Congress will have six months to act to pass legislation legalizing the so-called Dreamers. According to Homeland Security, “the Department of Justice has carefully evaluated the program’s constitutionality and determined it conflicts with . . . existing immigrations laws.” California taxpayers will still have to fund some of the effort. $20 million was approved to be earmarked to support DACA recipients.

New Travel Ban

Sep 25, 2017

As the president’s travel ban is set to expire, the Trump administration is rolling out a new plan to deny visas to citizens of seven countries. Citizens from Chad, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen may now have their visas denied. These countries do not “provide ‘baseline’ identification about their citizens who ask for visas to travel to the United States.” “The policy will apply to foreign citizens who are seeking to visit the United States for business or tourism and will also cover people apply for visas as would-be refugees or immigrants.” The president insisted that his obligation is “to ensure the safety and security of the American people.” The president’s statement said that several nations who were not in compliance and increased their “information sharing with the United States regarding terrorism threats.” If the named countries work with the American government, these visa restrictions may be eased or lifted.

Merkel Wins Fourth Term

Sep 25, 2017

Germany’s Angela Merkel won a fourth term as Chancellor. But her win was overshadowed by the Alternative for Germany party’s surprise 13 percent showing. The AfD is now Germany’s third largest political party. It campaigned on a platform of being anti-immigration and anti-Islam. Outside of an AfD celebratory event, protestors “rallied outside, shouting “Nazis out!” The AfD was able to gain political traction for its message in the former German east block. As a minority party it may not have much official power, but it will have greater visibility and government financing. Turnout in the German election was up from 71.5 percent four years ago to 76 percent on Sunday. Merkel set out to win 40 percent of the vote but fell short. She said, "There's a big new challenge for us, and that is the entry of the AfD in the Bundestag. We want to win back AfD voters." Because Merkel’s party does not have a ruling majority, the party will have to form a coalition government which could be “a thorny, months-long process.”

GOP Swamp Worried Moore Might Win

Sep 25, 2017

The Republican swamp is “deeply worried” that incumbent Senator Luther Strange will not pull out a win for the nomination on Tuesday. Judge Roy Moore has a history of not bending the knee. He refused to remove the Ten Commandments from the state courthouse. He told the clerk of courts to not issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. He’s also called for Mitch McConnell to be ousted from Republican leadership. If Moore wins on Tuesday, other principled conservatives might challenge incumbent Republicans in other states. Roy Moore’s well funded opponents are running “non-stop TV ads, a meticulously-crafted get-out-the-vote effort, and detailed, opportunity-research-filled debate prep sessions for Strange.” Moore’s campaign has cast Luther Strange as “a pawn of the party establishment and especially McConnell.” Moore’s campaign has received the support of Sarah Palin, Steve Bannon, Sean Hannity, and “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson. Bannon calls the race a “civil war that will put the establishment and movement wings of the party.”
