Bowe Bergdahl has pled guilty before a military court of deserting his post in Afghanistan in the face of the enemy and endangering his fellow soldiers. Now he is trying to get sympathy for himself as he faces sentencing for his crimes. He is claiming the military court is a “kangaroo” court and a lynch mob. He is also claiming that he was treated better by the Taliban than by the U.S. military.
It is not surprising that some in the liberal media seem to be siding with Bergdahl by claiming that his sentencing has been influenced by comments made by Trump during the presidential campaign. The judge in the case has already dismissed this idea.
