North Korea Launches New Volley of Threats

North Korea warned that if military exercises continue with South Korea, the United States will face an ’unimaginable’ strike. The government warned that the military exercises had “hardened our determination that the U.S. should be tamed with fire.” The United States and South Korea will be carrying out operation Courageous Channel next week. The exercise will practice evacuating Americans “in the event of a ‘crisis.’ Recently the U.S. Air Force flew two bombers over the Korean peninsula. North Korea said, "The US is running amok by introducing under our nose the targets we have set as primary ones. The US should expect that it would face unimaginable strike at an unimaginable time." American spy satellites “captured images of missiles mounted on launchers being moved out of a hanger near the capital Pyongyang last Friday.” A South Korean newspaper speculated that North Korea might “carry out a simultaneous launch of ICBM and IRBM within a few days in protest against the U.S.’s show of military might.”
