California firefighters are getting control of more of the numerous wildfires burning in the northern counties, but the fight is far from over. Forty-one people have been confirmed dead and while the majority of the missing people have been located there are still over 100 people unaccounted for.
Some towns have been virtually wiped out and many of the businesses that cater to tourists in the wine country will not be able to reopen for months, if at all. Damage estimates have exceeded one billion dollars and many areas continue to be in danger as the fires spread.
