Is Trump DOJ Protecting The Clintons?

Judicial Watch is seeking records related to the meeting between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton. The meeting took place while the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton. According to Judicial Watch, the Department of Justice has redacted the talking points memo that was created by the Obama administration to explain the meeting between Lynch and Bill Clinton. The talking points show how the Obama DOJ “spun the scandal.” Judicial Watch said, “[T]he Justice Department is acting as if Hillary Clinton won the election, and acting in a way that continues to protect Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration.” “The fact that we are in court battling the Trump administration on Clinton scandal information . . . is just unbelievable.” The DOJ defends its decision to redact the talking points memos “under a legal exemption allowing the federal government to withhold deliberative information pursued by citizens via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.” The FBI recently uncovered at least 30 documents relating to the meeting after the agency previously denied that any such documents existed. The FBI says it needs six weeks to process and release them.
