Optimism on the Economy at a Ten Year High

Oct 5, 2017

A recent survey by CNBC shows that 43% of the American people think the economy is excellent or good or many think it will continue to improve. This is the highest level since the survey was started ten years ago. The continued rise in the stock market is part of the reason for this optimism, but there are many other factors.

Many people believe that this will eventually result in a boost for President Trump’s approval rating that has only shown a slight uptick in the last few weeks. However, his base is holding solid and most sitting presidents get a bump when the economy is good and the public is optimistic about it.
