In the short time since the horrific Las Vegas attack authorities have concluded that the shooter, Stephen Pollack, engaged in extensive planning for the attack. This was obviously not planned overnight and in fact probably took months to plan. There are many questions to be answered including how and when he picked out the exact room where he could shoot down in the crowd.
He also managed to take ten suitcases loaded with firearms and ammunition into the Mandalay Bay resort hotel, set up several surveillance cameras including one in the hallway, and then break out two hotel windows to set up his field of fire. All of this preparation required considerable time and money.
