At Least 59 Dead, Hundreds Wounded in Las Vegas Shooting

At least 59 people were killed and over 500 wounded in a mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday night. The shooter has been identified as 64 year old Stephen Paddock, a resident of Mesquite, Nevada with no criminal history. He apparently managed to bring multiple firearms, including automatic weapons, and thousands of rounds of ammunition into a hotel room in the Mandalay Bay Resort on the Las Vegas Strip.

He fired into a crowd of thousands of people at an outdoor country music concert. He was reported to have committed suicide before police breached his location.
