DOJ Sues Company for Failing to Hire U.S. Workers

Sep 29, 2017

The Department of Justice has filed a landmark suit against a Colorado company for discriminating against U.S. citizens in it hiring practices. The complaint alleges that in 2016 the company called Crop Production refused to hire three American citizens for seasonal work. Instead, they hired foreign workers here under the temporary visa program.

The DOJ alleges that this violates President Trump’s Executive Order on buying American and hiring American that requires American companies to hire American citizens for job openings. If none are available then the foreign workers can be hired.
