It now appears that unless there is a miracle the Republicans in the Senate are going to fail once again to fulfill a promise they have been making to the voters for seven years. They are not going to have the votes to pass a bill repealing and replacing Obamacare. The question for many people is not whether the objections to the proposed bill are valid or not.
Instead they fear that the ultimate outcome may be that the Republicans may lose the Senate majority in the midterm elections and never have another chance. They also fear that this might open the door to the ultimate Democrat goal of socialized medicine in the United States.
