At Utah Valley University, a public university in a traditionally red state; faculty members have been given guidelines for reporting students to the university Behavior Assessment Team. Among offenses to be reported are being argumentative, loud, or make the university appear less “inclusive”. In other words, if a student makes a statement that offends someone or is otherwise politically incorrect they can be punished.

One professor, who chooses to remain anonymous, sees this is a tool of intimidation instead of inclusion, and that faculty members are afraid to speak out against the policy.
