It is growing more apparent that in California education is not about preparing students to compete in the real world and get a job, but in preparing young people to be submissive and politically correct. In the San Francisco area, schools want to do away with the traditional grading system of A-F and have teachers write about the students mastery of a subject.
Many fear that this would allow teachers to grade students not on their actual knowledge of a subject like history, but whether they have a politically correct view of history. This will also make it harder for universities to evaluate students for admission and scholarships.
