Following the disastrous failure of the Senate Republicans to pass a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare several months ago, there has been a new plan introduced by Senator Lindsay Graham (R SC) and others. It is designed to repeal Obamacare and take the money that would be used for it and give it to the states to be used to fund expansions of Medicaid or other healthcare programs.
Many governors support this concept, however, others don’t including some Republicans. Paul Ryan has assured Graham that if the Senate passes this the House will go along. However, at this point the Senate does not appear to have the 50 votes needed for passage.
