Governor Moonbeam Attacks Trump Supporters

Sep 19, 2017

Governor Jerry Brown spoke at a climate change event in New York on Monday. Brown, who was called Governor Moonbeam in the mid-seventies, called President Trump’s supporters cave dwellers. “You should check out the derivation of ‘Trump-ite’ and ‘troglodyte,’ because they both refer to people who dwell in deep, dark caves.” In calling Trump supporters cave dwellers, the governor consigned 4.4 million voters in California to that status. Governor Brown has been a strong proponent of implementing policies to combat global climate change. He was opposed to President Trump leaving the Paris Climate Accords. He and several other governors around the country took the initiative to keep their states in compliance with the Accords. Earlier in September, Governor Brown went to Russia and spoke at a conference where he urged President Putin to “go green.”
