President Pokes Fun at North Korean Leader

Saturday night, President Trump and South Korea’s President Moon discussed North Korea. The two leaders reviewed North Korea’s most recent launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile that flew over Japan and landed in the Pacific. A statement from the White House said, “President Trump and President Moon committed to continuing to take steps to strengthen deterrence and defense capabilities and to maximize economic and diplomatic pressure on North Korea. The two leaders noted that they will continue their close consultations next week when they meet on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly.” Sunday morning, President Trump tweeted that he’d spoken with South Korea’s president, adding, “Asked him how Rocket Man is doing. long gas lines forming in North Korea. Too bad!” President Trump will address the United Nations later in the week. He is expected to call upon the Security Council for harsher sanctions.
