President Trump is reportedly open to stabilizing Obamacare. Ever since the Senate failed to overturn Obamacare, lawmakers in the House and Senate are looking for ways to pour more money into the failing ObamaCare system. ObamaCare can’t function without the stabilization payments. Democratic Representative Josh Gottheimer said of the president, “He was clearly open to it, intrigued.” Likewise, Republican Representative Tom Reed said, “I think the president was open to the conversation.” While the president was intrigued, he did not offer support for the idea. He did not agree to continue ObamaCare cost-sharing payments, but he did not reiterate his threat to cancel them.
