No Grant of Absolution From Hillary

Sep 14, 2017

Hillary Clinton is unwilling to forgive those women who did not vote for her in the election. Clinton said that she has had women come up to her since the election confessing their failure to get out and vote or to do more to get Clinton elected. The unpersonable former candidate said that it is “‘hard’ for her to offer ‘comfort’” to others. "When it first started happening it was so soon after the election, and the election was so bizarre and close. It was hard for me to, you know comfort somebody who was coming to me and saying, ‘oh, I wish I'd done more,' or ‘I'm sorry I didn't vote.' Because I think this was one of the most consequential elections that we have faced in a long time," she said. “So no absolution. But of course I just hope people will take what happened this time seriously and being ready and willing to vote the next time.”
