SCOTUS Sides with Trump on Travel Ban

Sep 13, 2017

In an unsigned opinion yesterday, the United States Supreme Court upheld most of the travel ban imposed by President Trump on refugees coming into the United States from countries considered dangerous because of their inability to provide information allowing the U.S. to vet the refugees. The ruling reverses a decision by the notoriously left wing Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that had upheld a lower court ruling declaring the ban unconstitutional.

The court is scheduled to hear full arguments on the case in October, but since the ban is temporary it may expire before the hearing unless the President decides to renew it.
