The chaos in Florida continues as millions of Floridians struggle through massive traffic jams to return to their homes after the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma. Unfortunately, many of them are finding their homes severely damaged or completely destroyed. In addition, millions of people are without power or water, and in some areas like the islands that make up the Florida Keys it may be weeks or even months before power is restored.
The situation in Florida is a humanitarian crisis just like the continuing situation in southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana, but is compounded by the scope of territory covered by the disaster.
