Tourist Industry in the Caribbean Takes a Gigantic Hit

Sep 11, 2017

Tourism experts around the world are making dire predictions for the tourist industry and the cruise industry in the Caribbean Sea and possibly in Florida. The height of the season is during the upcoming winter months when millions of people from all over the world come into the area and spend billions of dollars.

This will certainly not be the case for at the least the upcoming season since on islands like St. Martin, St. Bartholomew, Barbuda, and the Virgin Islands. Hotels, resorts, and airports have been heavily damaged or completely destroyed. The areas where the cruise ships berth are also damaged and most of the businesses on the islands which cater to the tourists are closed.
