North Korea Warns The United States

North Korea warned the United States that if it continued on the path of imposing more sanctions on Pyongyang, the United States would pay a “due price.” The United States is drafting a resolution that would embargo oil, textiles, and subject North Korean leaders to a travel ban. The North Korean government accused the United States of of “going frantic” in its effort to get the UN Security Council to agree to its sanction’s proposal. The North Koreans warned that “The DPRK has developed and perfected the super-powerful thermo-nuclear weapon as a means to deter the ever-increasing hostile moves and nuclear threat of the U.S. and defuse the danger of nuclear war looming over the Korean peninsula and the region.” North Korea created its nuclear weapons program after watching Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi get overthrown after agreeing to American demands that Libya end its nuclear program.
