Hurricane Irma is now predicted to move slightly westward in a jog that will cause it to move through central Florida. This will put it west of Miami and that means the most powerful part of the storm on the northeast quadrant will hit Miami and many people of the city are evacuating. However, there are many people that were on cruise ships that were forced to shorten their Caribbean cruises and return to Miami.
Passengers have quickly learned that there are few seats on flights available out of Miami, there are no rental cars available, and hotel rooms are in short supply. Many passengers will be forced to stay on the ships, or go to local shelters to ride out the storm.
