Conservatives Pour Out Frustration On Republican Leadership

Sep 8, 2017

Republican fallout continued after President Trump agreed to work with Democrats on the debt ceiling and a continuing resolution to keep the government open. Ken Cuccinelli president of the Senate Conservatives Fund called on McConnell to be replaced. Lou Hobbs said that RINOs such as Paul Ryan should be hunted to extinction. “He's given Ryan and McConnell every opportunity to actually do something and they've clearly not been up to literally anything,” said Ned Ryun co-founder of American Majority. Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Mecker said “People hate Congress and the leadership there right now. The hatred is white hot and not aimed at the president.” Speaker Ryan further cemented the perception of incompetence on Thursday. He said that he doubted Congress would be able to lower the corporate tax rate to 15 percent. Lowering the tax rate on businesses was a key part of the Trump agenda.
