Irma Causes Widespread Death and Destruction in the Caribbean

Sep 7, 2017

Irma continues to churn its way toward the Florida coast and on its way it is causing death and horrific devastation to the islands in the northern Caribbean Sea. Reports are still sketchy from many locations, but islands like St. Barts and St. Martin are reporting heavy damage, and some deaths and injuries. The island of Barbuda that is near Antiqua is reporting over 90% destruction.

Reports are just beginning to trickle in from the U.S. Virgin Islands, where deaths are also being reported, and Puerto Rica where the government is saying that parts of the island may be without electrical power for as long as six months.
