Aug 31, 2017

A chemical plant in Crosby, Texas located in Harris County, not far from Houston has been evacuated due to flooding and an impending explosion. The danger has also caused the evacuation of homes and businesses within a 1.5 mile radius of the plant. The plant is owned by Arkema and the CEO of the facility says that they expect the chemicals in the heavily flooded plant to catch fire and possibly explode.

He has also stated that there is no way to prevent that happening even if was possible to put people back in the plant. In addition to this chemical plant there are many others and oil refineries in the area that are closed.
