According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2016, Americans had more money confiscated from their paychecks by politicians than Americans spent on food and clothing combined. Adding to the injury, “the average tax bill for Americans increased 41.13 percent” from 2013 to 2016. The average federal, state, and local tax bills for Americans in 2016 was $10,489. This does not include the additional amount that Americans were forced to fork over to the government run Social Security Ponzi scheme. The average income for Americans before taxes in 2016 was $74,664. That is an increase from 2013 when the average American income was $63,784. Despite the record amount of wealth extracted from Americans, the federal government continuously spends more than it takes in and politicians complain that Americans are not taxed enough. In reality, politicians are the ones with the problem. There is no limit to their appetite for spending other people’s money.
