Trump Reassures Texas Leaders

Aug 30, 2017

President Trump and the First Lady visited Texas yesterday making stops in Corpus Christie and Austin, Texas. He went to Corpus Christie because it was near where Hurricane Harvey made landfall late last Thursday night. It did not suffer the devastation that nearby cites received as in the cases of Rockport, Houston, and Galveston. The President avoided those areas so his visit would not disrupt ongoing rescue operations.

Trump reassured the leaders in Texas that they will get all of the federal help they need to recover. He was accompanied on the visit by key members of his cabinet including Brock Long, the head of FEMA, who predicted a long and difficult recovery, Trump is planning a similar visit to Louisiana later this week.
