Venezuela Planning to Ban Social Media Content

Aug 29, 2017

In what some might see is a page from the playbook of the American left wing the government of Venezuela is planning to regulate the internet by banning social media posts that promote “hate or bigotry”. The translation of that appears to mean that the targets of the new law being considered by the unlawful Constituent Assembly include anyone who is critical of Nicholas Maduro and the socialist government of the country.

This is a hate speech definition similar to the language used by liberals in the United States to justify the censoring of legitimate conservative websites and posts that are critical of the Democrats or the liberal media.
