In the past several years a number of state governments have attempted to defund Planned Parenthood after the disturbing videos of the abortion group making arrangements to sell the body parts of aborted babies. Planned Parenthood has sued the states since it makes most of its money off of abortions and many of them are paid for by taxpayer funded state Medicaid programs.
Until now the federal courts have been striking down these laws, usually for spurious reasons. Now the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld such a ban adopted by the Arkansas Legislature. This decision comes after Congress passed legislation in April that set aside an Obama executive order to protect the abortion mill from being defunded.
