North Korea Launches Again

Aug 29, 2017

North Korea launched a missile. It flew over Japan and landed in the water after breaking up into three pieces. North Korea sees the military exercises that the United States is conducting with its allies in the region as a threat. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said, “North Korea’s reckless action is an unprecedented, serious and grave threat to our nation.” The prime minister is calling for a UN meeting to strengthen sanctions against North Korea. U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said, “We’re going to continue our peaceful pressure campaign . . . working with allies and working with China as well to see if we can bring the regime in Pyongyang to the negotiating table . . . .” The latest missile firing comes just weeks after heated verbal exchanges between North Korea and President Trump.
