Japan and South Korea Warn North Korea about Firing Missiles at Guam

Aug 11, 2017

While North Korea has backed off from its original threat of launching missiles against American military bases in Guam, its plan to fire missiles near the island has drawn and angry response. Both South Korea and Japan have condemned the new plan to land missiles in the waters around the island. For one thing, while threats are always being made by Kim Jong Un, none have ever been this specific.

South Korea has threatened a stern response to such actions, and Japan has said it will shoot down the missiles that would be fired over its territory. President Trump has vowed to retaliate and so no one is backing down from Kim.
