Voter Dissatisfaction in House Districts

Aug 8, 2017

Speaker Paul Ryan is getting an ear full in his home district in Wisconsin. His voters are asking why Republicans are not getting anything done. “We have a majority in the House and Senate and it feels like nothing’s getting done,” said James Hulsey. “Everybody that voted Republican is getting very frustrated,” Republican Keith Ketzler said. If Republicans can’t or won’t deliver on the Trump agenda, House Republicans risk losing their majority status. Democrats have to win only 24 seats to regain control. Ryan is attempting to focus voters attention on the Foxconn deal that will see an investment of $10 billion and could employ as many as 13,000 people. Speaker Ryan faces primary challengers and likely a challenge by Democrats.
