In fulfilling a campaign promise not to take a personal salary, presidential spokesperson Sean Spicer handed a check for $78k from President Trump to Interior Sec. Ryan Zinke, who has been directed to use the funds to help the Park Service maintain and preserve historic battlefield sites.

Only two other presidents have refused to take a salary, Herbert Hoover and John Kennedy, both of whom had substantial personal wealth.
